Location: Iiripillisaar swamp island, Plaamandisaare bog, Kõrvemaa Landscape Reserve, Paide parish, Järva county

We will walk across Plaamandisaare bog and admire the wild beauty of its boggy landscape. We will visit Iiripillisaar, covered in a fantastic fairy-tale wood where the old platyfyllous grove grows, mainly consisting of old oaks and lime-trees. Late spring is the time when amazing golden lady slippers grow. The tour also includes visiting Sibisaar and Kabelisaar swamp islands, where we walk along Plaamandisaare bog and admire their wild landscape and watersheds. By the way, long ago  the Kabelisaar swamp island might have also been a sacred oakery since almost all Kabeli-named places used to be sacred oakeries in the old days. Later, when orthodox religion and churches appeared, they were called either Kabelimägi or Kabelisaar. On the way back from Iiripillisaar we will swing by to the Jägala river and stop at its wild shelvy coast to admire the unique fantastic views. Cranberry gastronomic experiences are offered in the harvesting period (April-May and August-November). The menu of lunch break in Iiripillisaar includes hot tea boiled from plants grown in the Estonian countryside, freshly baked scones, and chocolate for dessert. At the end of hiking day you can order a rich supper from organic products which is served in Lau village. Supper and a choice of dishes should be pre-ordered 3 days before. In addition, there is an opportunity to go to a smoke sauna and stay in the village for a night. An archaic looking smoke sauna is located near an idyllically peaceful pond, reflecting back the look, feel and smell of how people lived in the olden days. It plays the main role in time traveling (Ajamatkad), in bringing us back to our past.
